The Zone Administration is governed by the Rules and Regulations specified in Chapter VI of the Foreign Trade Policy and Chapter VI of Handbook of Procedure and SEZ Act, 2005 & SEZ Rules, 2006 notified by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India and directions given by the Board of Approvals from time to time. The functions relating to Customs & Central Excise in respect of Units in SEEPZ-SEZ are discharged under the relevant provisions of the Act by the officers of CBEC posted on deputation in SEEPZ-SEZ from time to time under the Administrative control of the Development Commissioner. In so far as, Customs & Central Excise matters relating to units under EOU scheme are concerned, the same are discharged by the respective jurisdictional Commissionerate of Central Excise
