The Zone Administration is governed by the Rules and Regulations specified in Chapter VI of the Foreign Trade Policy and Chapter VI of Handbook of Procedure and SEZ Act, 2005 & SEZ Rules, 2006 notified by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India and directions given by the Board of Approvals from time to time. The functions relating to Customs & Central Excise in respect of Units in SEEPZ-SEZ are discharged under the relevant provisions of the Act by the officers of CBEC posted on deputation in SEEPZ-SEZ from time to time under the Administrative control of the Development Commissioner. In so far as, Customs & Central Excise matters relating to units under EOU scheme are concerned, the same are discharged by the respective jurisdictional Commissionerate of Central Excise
    The Zone Administration maintains the following records:
  • Records pertaining to various approvals granted to Units in the SEEPZ-SEZ, Sector/Multi product SEZs/SEZ units/Developer and EOUs
  • Quarterly Progress Reports (QPR), Half Yearly Report and Annual Performance Reports (APR) submitted by these Developer/Units.
  • Records pertaining to development, construction and maintenance of various utilities in the Zone.
  • Records pertaining to administrative matters of employees of the Zone Administration and office posted in the SEZs under the jurisdiction of Development Commissioner, SEEPZ-SEZ.
  • Records pertaining to import and export documentation of the Units located in the SE
  • Records pertaining to issue of Generalized System of Preferences Certificates (GSP) to Units located in the SEEPZ-SEZ and EOUs.
  • Records pertaining to re-imbursement of Central Sales Tax (CST), Duty Draw back (DBK) and Terminal Excise Duty (TED) to units located in the SEEPZ-SEZ and EOUs.
  • Records of Gate Passes issued for entry into the Zone of employees / vendors / visitors / vehicles
